Customised brake and hydraulic systems
In many of our projects, very high requirements are placed on the components and systems to be delivered. In many cases, there are no off-the-shelf standard solutions with documented functionality for the specific operating conditions. These may involve demanding environments, high loads, or long life cycles. In such cases, we at Rydahls Industry work closely with the customer to jointly develop a solution that meets all requirements. A clear example is a brake valve that we developed together with a customer as part of an advanced project.
In this project, through close dialogue with the customer, we not only developed the valve itself but also designed parts of the pedal mechanism and integrated sensors, pre-pressure valves, and various connections. All hydraulic systems were tested by us, and necessary adjustments were continuously carried out in consultation with the customer. The result is a complete, verified system that the customer can install directly into their vehicle. Several of the components were developed in-house at Rydahls, as existing market solutions did not meet the jointly defined requirements.
Together, we ensured that all requirements were fulfilled through extensive testing, including vibration and shock tests in accordance with applicable standards. The system was also run for one million cycles in a test bench to verify durability and long-term functionality. We also have the capability to conduct climate chamber testing; in this particular project, the customer was responsible for that part of the verification process.
When system requirements are high, the development and verification work becomes extensive. Through close and structured collaboration between Rydahls Industry and the customer, we can jointly develop robust, customised solutions that meet even the most demanding specifications.
