Hydraulic braking system

When an international machinery manufacturer developed a new 27-ton asphalt machine, we were commissioned to develop a complete hydraulic braking system. The project covered the entire chain – from requirements analysis and design to testing, verification, and series delivery.

Clear Project Definition and Technical Foundation
The work began with a structured project definition in which functional requirements, technical specifications, and performance targets were established. Brake calculations, system dimensioning, and drawing production were carried out in parallel with time and resource planning.

The project was documented in a detailed project plan comprising approximately 70 main activities, which were continuously monitored and reviewed together with the customer.

Full-Scale Test Rig in Karlstad
To verify system functionality, a complete test rig was built at our facility in Karlstad. Using customer-supplied components, the machine’s braking system was recreated at full scale, including the operator cabin.

Planned tests were executed, documented, and reported according to an established test plan. The rig was also used for training purposes, where the customer’s technical team received instruction on system components, assembly, and bleeding procedures.

At the same time, evaluations of different brake hoses were conducted to ensure optimal performance and service life.

From Development to Production
The project was managed according to the agreed structure, with continuous documentation and follow-up. The solution was verified and approved within the specified timeframe.

Today, we deliver complete hydraulic braking systems directly to the customer’s production lines in Brazil, ready for integration into series production.
